Sapa, a former French hill resort and home to some of Vietnem’s most colorful ethnic groups in the northwestern. Sapa is a wonderful place in Asia and and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air. There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of different minorities of Black H’mong, Red Dzao, Dzay and Tay.
Itinerary
At 8.30 p.m: Pick you up at your hotel then transfer to Hanoi railway station for a night train to Lao Cai Sapa Station.
Day 1: Lao Cai Station – Sapa – Hau Thao Village
7.00 Arrive to Lao Cai station. Our guide picks you up at the station then transfer to Sapa town, check in the hotel. After having breakfast, you will do trekking to Hau Thao village where Black H'mong tribe lives. The trek brings you upper mountain range of Sapa, overlook down to its valley. Our local guide will prepare lunch in a local house while you walk around the village to meet local people and visit catholic church. After having lunch, the local guide takes you back to Sapa by different way, which goes further to the other side of the mountain. (7hrs trekking 12km. Meals: B/L/D, Accommodation.)
Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai - Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai Villages (Homestay)
Having breakfast and check out before start. Trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Black H'mong. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the valley to get to Ta Van village to visit the Dzay people live, which supposed to be the most friendly one in mountainous area. The next is Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dzao tribe where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall. Home stay in local family. (7hrs trekking 18km. Meals: B/L/D, Home stay. )
Day 3: Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho Villages - Sapa
Having early breakfast then trek to Ban Ho. You will trek up and down the mountains through a jungle and pass the Muong Hoa River and waterfall. Lunch at Ban Ho village with Tay tribe in their special wooden houses on the stilts will amaze you, enjoy the peaceful scenery and friendly people there. And the last 45 minutes. Climbing up hill to get the waiting point is really a challenge for you. You get back to Sapa by motorbike/jeep. Dinner and stay in the hotel. ( 5hrs trekking 13km )
Day 4: Sapa - Cat Cat – Sin Chai Villages – Train to Hanoi
Morning is free to explore the town on your own. After lunch you check out and leave your big luggage in the hotel then get yourself ready before heading down to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H'mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Back to Sapa town and take a shower in the hotel before taking the bus to Lao Cai station for the night train back to Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi
Arrive Hanoi at 5.00 A.M. Finish the Trip!
