Most Vietnamese and Westerners are familiar with the phrase “Ha Noi ba muoi sau Pho Phuong” or “Ha Noi 36 districts”. This phrase often causes much confusion for most people since, on the one hand Pho means a street or a place for merchants to gather to do business, on the other hand Phuong means a district or a guild of artisans specializing in a particular trade (phuong cheo, phuong tho, etc.). In any case, there is some truth to the use of both descriptions.
Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival Hanoi
On arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi. Free to leisure. O/N in hotel in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi- Halong Bay (B, L)
HaLong Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes about 1, 600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest.
Meet you at hotel at 8: 00 am, we drive to Halong City, approximately 3 hours away. Once at Halong City you will board our private boat for a five-hours cruise of this stunning area, stopping along the way to visit one of the limestone caves in the area - Thien Cung Cave (the Palace Of Heaven Grotto) and Dau Go Cave (Wooden Stake Grotto).
As we cruise our boat staff will serve you a sumptuous local seafood lunch on boat. You have two options for your night: O/N on boat which anchors near the Titov island or O/N in hotel in Ha Long city.
Day 3: Halong Bay- Hanoi (B)
At 8.00 A.M: depart Halong Bay for Hanoi. On the way, you will have one hour for your lunch, then go straight to Hanoi. On arrival, you are free to discover the city by yourself. O/N in hotel in Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi city tour- Sapa ( B )
8.00: Meet you at your hotel then our guide will take you on the city tour to visit the most beautiful sites in Hanoi such as: Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, Ho Chi Minh complex, Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, you have an hour visiting the Hanoi old Quarter by cycle, then enjoy the water puppet show in the theater opposites Hoan Kiem lake. At 9.00 P.M: be ready for the night train to Lao Cai station. O/N on the train.
Day 5: Lao Cai- Sapa trekking ( B )
Sapa, a former French hill resort and home to some of Vietnem’s most colorful ethnic groups in the northwestern. Sapa is a wonderful place in Asia and and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air. There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of different minorities of Black H’mong, Red Dzao, Dzay and Tay.
7.00 A.M: Our guide picks you up at Lao Cai station then transfer to Sapa. Check- in and have breakfast in the hotel. Trek down to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H’mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and the scenery along the way. In the afternoon, you come back Sapa. O/N in hotel in Sapa.
Day 6: Sapa- Lao Chai- Ta Van- Lao Cai station.( B)
After having breakfast, you check- out your hotel and leave your luggage there. Continue trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Black H’mong people then go along the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village of Dzay tribe which is regarded as the most beautiful one in the area. In the afternoon, you come back the main road where our jeep is waiting to take you back to your hotel. In the late afternoon, be ready for the night train back to Hanoi which departs at 8.30 P.M. O/N on the train.
Day 7: Hanoi- Noi Bai internation airport ( B )
At 5.30 A.M, you arrive Hanoi. The bus take you come back your hotel in Hanoi. Then you are free for shopping in Hanoi. Then the tour guide takes you to Noi Bai airport.
